Image databases

In archaeology, image review is one of the central skills of scientific work. Subject-specific image databases simplify the targeted search, although the time required to compile images for presentations and term papers should not be underestimated.

Make sure that the resolution is sufficient and that the proof of origin is indicated. Although images from the internet can be used without hesitation in university teaching, attention must be paid to usage rights and copyrights in publications at the latest. A conscientious approach to the medium of images, which like scientific texts represent intellectual property, should be learned at an early stage.
