Ubi erat Lupa
The image database www.ubi-erat-lupa.org (short lupa) is dedicated to ancient stone monuments (plastic, reliefs, inscriptions, architecture fragments, etc.) because the are the most important conveyors of information when concerning society, culture and art of antiquity.
Lupa is an ideal oriented project and is used for the information of scientists and friends of antiquity in local history, schools and tourism. It reaches from prehistory to the time of Justinian (ca. 500 AD). Because Lupa developed concentrically from Vienna, it focused mostly on Roman stone monuments of middle and southeast Europe.
