The Forum of Brigantium/Bregenz (A)

The Forum-complex of Brigantium is one of the best preserved in all of the Rhine and Danube Provinces. Most of the knowledge that we have today, can be ascribes to Samuel Jenny, who documented almost all of the latest state of the structures in superficial excavations, which could show the structural development of the complex only rudimentarily. The cursory remarks on the architecture and chronology are based on the state of the advanced 19th century. After field work was able to prove residential structures of the early empire, the structural history of the entire quarter is going to be reconstructed within the project.
