Goodman Gwasira holds a PhD in the History of Archaeology from the History Department at the University of the Western Cape, in South Africa. His research focuses on the History of Archaeology in Namibia. He investigates the history of archaeological practice in Namibia as a source of scientific information. He interrogates how such information has been validated, transmitted and used throughout in the context of deep and multiple colonialisms that Namibia experienced. Gwasira’s research interests include prehistoric art, particularly the rock engravings of the Domschlucht, Brandberg, Namibia.
